Richard Mille has unveiled the fourth watch designed in collaboration with British supercar manufacturer Maren: the RM 65-01 Maren W1. Inspired by Maren's latest generation W1 supercar, the bezel features a striking combination of Carbon TPT® and grade 5 titanium2, cleverly incorporating racing colors of orange, yellow, and blue for a striking and speed-inspired look.
The barrel-shaped case is inspired by the elegant lines of the McLaren W1, with a "convex inside and concave outside" profile, embodied in the concave "double-layer" bezel. The upper layer of this double-layered bezel is made of Carbon TPT®, with each case having a unique texture, while the lower layer is made of polished grade 5 titanium, measuring just 0.5mm at its thinnest point. The chronograph pushers are also made of Carbon TPT®, and the titanium crown is covered in orange rubber for enhanced tactile feel.
The skeletonized titanium dial is inspired by the W1 supercar's wheel motif, featuring color accents reminiscent of a supercar's dashboard: yellow accents on the hour and minute hands, and small seconds hand at 6 o'clock; orange accents on the 30-minute and 12-hour counters; and a blue accent on the chronograph and seconds track. A vertical digital date window is located at 11 o'clock.
Powered by the R4 automatic movement with a 60-hour power reserve, this movement features a baseplate and bridges crafted from grade 5 titanium, enabling accurate chronographs to within 110 seconds.
